Why do the rating stars graphics not show up on my computer, only the words?

When I try to choose a best answer, everything shows up OK except the 5 rating stars. I am using an old Mac G4 and Safari or Firefox browsers. What can I do to fix this? Without the rating stars I cannot choose a best answer.
