My friend with benefits just got arrested in front of me...?

we're both 16, today is our 2 year anniversary of being friends with benefits. he was crossing the tracks in front of his house to meet me and it took him a really long time/he wasn't answering my text about where he is. i didn't know he was arrested until the cops waved me over & i saw him sitting on the ground, handcuffed. they said that he wants to see me and the cop asked me where i lived & then told me to leave. he was arrested for having "drugs" on him. do you think he'll feel too awkward to talk to me again? is this a reason why he might never want to see me again? thank you!
