How to get Netflix to stop freezing?

I have a MacBook and when I go on Netflix and am watching a show sometimes I will click the next episode button and then I will have to force quit. My other problem is that when I first get to Netflix it tells me I need to restart in 32 bit-mode. Any solutions? I use Firefox.
