Will grunge make a comeback?

Whatever happens, something big will occur. Music is at it's weakest right point right now. Over-cooked post-grunge needs to finally stop now. If I hear another Nickelback imitator rock a long-standing #1 song, or worse, release an awful cliched ballad that goes wacky on top 40 or adult contemporary station...I'll be teed off.
