A man is speeding down the road one day...?

He gets pulled over by a cop who asks for his license. The man says, "I don't have any license". The cop says, then I'm afraid I'm going to have to arrest you and confiscate your car". The man says, "oh, but this isn't my car". The cop asks, "whose is it, then?" The guy says "oh, it belongs to some girl I killed". The cop says, "you killed the owner of this car?" The man says, "yup, and her body's still in the trunk." A few minutes later, the place is a crime scene. There are cops all over, the man is lying on the ground in handcuffs, and the trunk is then opened. Inside, they find nothing. The chief then comes over, orders him uncuffs, and apologizes profusely, saying, "I'm sorry, but one of our officers told us that you had hidden a dead body in the trunk of this car". The man says, "yeah, and I'll bet the lying bastard said I was speeding, too."
